This Privacy Policy describes how GlucoLog (“the App”) handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and we take particular care with health data.
The App does not require you to create an account or provide your name or email address. The following categories of data are processed:
We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, or any other personally identifiable information directly.
All glucose readings, medication records, and health profile data are stored entirely on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, this data may be synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit so that your history is available across your own Apple devices. This sync occurs between your devices only — we do not have access to your iCloud data.
You can disable iCloud sync at any time in iOS Settings › your Apple ID › iCloud › Apps using iCloud.
With your permission, the App can read and write blood glucose data to and from the Apple Health app.
HealthKit data is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices.
The App displays interstitial advertisements powered by Google AdMob for users who have not subscribed to GlucoLog Premium. Before showing personalised ads, the App will ask for your permission using Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
You can change your ATT choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Google AdMob Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Subscribing to GlucoLog Premium permanently disables all advertising and ATT data collection within the App.
The App uses the following third-party services:
The blood glucose values, A1C estimates, and statistical summaries calculated by the App are for informational and self-monitoring purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your doctor or qualified healthcare professional regarding the management of your diabetes or any other medical condition.
Your glucose readings, medication records, and health profile remain on your device until you delete them. You can delete individual readings from the History screen, or reset all data from Settings › Privacy & Data › Delete All Data. Deleting the App also removes all locally stored data.
To remove data synced to iCloud, delete the App and then remove its iCloud data from iOS Settings › your Apple ID › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any data held about you. Because most data is stored on your own device, you already have direct control over it. For data held by the third-party services listed above, please refer to their respective privacy policies or contact us and we will assist where possible.
We do not sell your personal information. For advertising purposes, Google AdMob may use your IDFA only with your explicit ATT consent. You may opt out at any time as described in Section 4 above.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
